How Should This Medicine Be Used?
- Prescription Esomeprazole:

- Administration: Usually taken once daily at least 1 hour before a meal. For conditions with excessive acid production, it may be taken twice daily.
- Capsules: Swallow whole. If unable to swallow, mix with applesauce and swallow immediately.
- Granules: Mix with water and consume within 30 minutes.
- Nonprescription Esomeprazole:
- Forms: Delayed-release capsules or tablets.
- Administration: Typically taken once daily in the morning for 14 days. Additional 14-day treatments can be repeated, not more frequently than every 4 months.

- Symptoms of Overdose: Confusion, drowsiness, blurred vision, fast heartbeat, nausea, sweating, flushing, headache, dry mouth.
